Empowered Café is more than just a for-profit coffee shop; it’s a place where purpose meets every pour. By providing adults with Down syndrome the opportunity to build meaningful careers, they’re fostering independence through dignified, skill-based roles that empower their team and enrich our community.
Their vision is to foster an inclusive environment that showcases the professional talents of adults with disabilities. Through strategic local partnerships and empowering self-checkout technology, they provide a welcoming space designed to promote independence and community connection.
The new cafe will streamline service, while friendly, trained staff focus on food prep, running orders, and keeping the space maintained—all with minimal bottlenecks.
The grand opening hasn’t been announced, yet, but the space looks nearly complete. The location will be 1701 Simond Ave #104, Austin 78723.
