The Lazarus Brewing Co. recently opened a second location (the first one opened in downtown Austin in 2016) right down Airport Blvd from the Moontower Loft.
I stopped by recently to check it out and was excited to see how spacious their new spot is, with ample indoor and outdoor seating.
When I visited, I figured I’d grab water while my friends sampled the beers because I can’t enjoy most (gluten issues), but I learned that all of their beers, which are brewed in-house, contain less than 20 ppm gluten.
In other words, those of us who are gluten intolerant can drink their beers.
I went with the Lightning Wolf (Hazy IPA, 6.6%), which was delicious.
In addition to their beers, they have a boozy horchata, wines, coffee, snacks, and Mexican street food made in their on-site kitchen.
I’ll be back for some tacos and queso fundido.
I was there in the middle of the afternoon, and many people were working inside and in the sun. It looks like a really good spot to break open a laptop and get things done while enjoying the drinks and eats.
The stained glass ceiling in part of Lazarus Brewing Co. was really awesome, too.
Lazarus 2 is located at 4803 Airport Blvd, Austin, TX 78751.
